Preparation
20min
½ onion
2 garlic cloves
300 g sausage
400 g potatoes
4 tablespoons seed oil
2 tablespoons tomato paste
30 g flour
40 ml white wine
approx. 700 ml water
1 tablespoon Bauer Meat Dadocrema
2 bay leaves (optional)
salt to taste
black pepper to taste
To prepare the potato and sausage stew, peel the onion and finely chop. Peel the garlic cloves and slice and put both aside.
Wash and peel the potatoes and cut into cubes of approx. 2 x 2 cm. Set aside.
Remove the casing of the sausage and crumble it with your fingers. Set aside.
Heat the oil in a pan and soften the onion and garlic for a few minutes without allowing them to change colour and stirring often. Add the crumbled sausage and brown for a few minutes. Then add the cubes of potato and brown everything together for a few minutes. Add the tomato paste and stir. Then add the flour and stir for a minute over a high heat. Pour over the white wine and allow it to evaporate.
Pour in the water while stirring and then add the Bauer Meat Dadocrema and the bay leaves, if you have decided to use them. Season with black pepper and cook with the lid on, stirring even now and then, for about 15 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked. You can add more Bauer Meat Dadocrema according to taste.
Enjoy your plate of potato and sausage stew piping hot.
If you prefer a more liquid consistency just add more water.
